Excel Assignment #4

Let's begin by opening our Plumbing Spreadsheet from the last assignment. 

We are going to use this spreadsheet for the new assignment and this is what we are going to do with it.

1. We are going to insert a row at the top of the page so that we can put a title in row #1.
2. Next we are going to copy our Plumbing spreadsheet into a second and third sheet of the same file
3. We are going to make some changes to the prices in the items in Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 spreadsheets
4. And we are going to add some other items so we will also need to add rows for them as well
5. We are going to insert comments in the cells to remind us about our changes
6. And finally we are going to change the name of the sheets. 

Ready? Here we go!

1. Open the Plumbing Spreadsheet and insert a row at the very top of the page (following the directions in the notes for inserting rows and/or columns on the previous page. 
2. Type the words Bathroom in Basement into cell A1 in Arial Font size 16
3. Copy and paste the Plumbing Spreadsheet into Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 of the file.
4. In Cell A1 of the second spreadsheet type in Main Bathroom in size 16 Arial and in cell A1 of the third spreadsheet type in Ensuite Shower in size 16 Arial
5. You might need to insert a new row at the very top of the page so that the spreadsheet title is in its own row.
6. Make the following additions to the spreadsheet on sheet 2 add to this list 2 more Shutoff Valves, 1 more length of copper pipe and 6 copper elbows to cover the extra pipe work that will be needed

7. Make the following additions to the spreadsheet on sheet 3 and  add to this list 2 more Shutoff Valves for a total of , 1 more length of copper pipe and another 4 copper elbows and remove the regular toilet that was $44.95

Ensuite Shower

Also 

8. Rename the Sheets (the tabs for each sheet along the bottom of the window) Downstairs Bath, Main Bath and Ensuite Shower respectively
9. Place the following comments into their respective cells. 
   1. In the Downstairs Bath  sheet, in the cell holding the item White Toilet remind yourself that this is the Imported toilet at Canadian Tire on sale for only two weeks more.
   2. In the Main Bath  sheet, in the cells holding the items Towel Bar Chrome/Brass and Toilet Roll holder Chrome/Brass, remind yourself to check on a price difference between Chrome and Brass before ordering
   3. Finally, in the Ensuite Shower sheet, in the cell holding the Shower Faucet item, put a comment in reminding yourself to check to see if this one has a pressure equalizing valve in it. 

Make sure all the totals are correct now that things have been added and changed. Don't forget to do a Print Preview to make sure each spreadsheet fits on a single page. 

Save the file as Plumbing2 - adding your two initials at the beginning of the filename - and send it to me as an attachment. The subject line of this email message should be Excel Assignment 4.
